AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF MONROE COUNTY TO CONTRIBUTE FUNDS ANNUALLY TO THE MONROE COUNTY CHAMBER OF COMMERCE; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The Board of Supervisors of Monroe County, Mississippi, in its discretion, may contribute annually, on a fiscal-year basis, a sum not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($150,000.00) to the Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and/or its successors, out of any available county funds in the annual budget of Monroe County.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage, and shall be repealed from and after July 1, 2003.
